Engineering and construction group Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has appointed a total of more than 3,000 new trainee engineers in this current financial year 2022-23. 30% of the employed women
According to the news of news agency PTI, last year the company had appointed a total of 1,067 trainee engineers. At the same time, this year this number has increased to more than 3,000. Along with this, the company told that it is hiring more and more women employees. About 30 percent of the total appointments this year are women. In such a situation, now the total number of women employees in the company has increased to 1,009. Last year, a total of 248 women were hired. This year, 75 percent of the total appointments of women have been made in the electrical, mechanical and civil sectors.

L&T Vice President and Head of Corporate Human Resources C Jayakumar has said that the total number of women employees in L&T is 7.6 per cent. Let us tell you that this figure is very encouraging because earlier the field of electrical, mechanical and civil was considered to be dominated by men, but now there has been a rapid change in this thinking. There has been a rapid increase in the number of women in all these fields. Along with this, C Jayakumar said that the company is expanding rapidly and there will be no shortage of orders in the coming times.
